Skilled Migration
SKILLSELECT
Since the 1st of July, 2012, the Government introduced the new SkillSelect Program which is a major change to how Australia manages its skilled migration program. Applications are by “ Invite” only. To be invited, the applicant must submit an EOI (Expression Of Interest) This is a more efficient system as it ensures the migration program is based on the economic needs of Australia. It gives the Australian Government more control in managing the number of applicants based on demand. The added advantage is the significant reduction in the total time taken to process the application.
